Instruction.Alkalinity/KH Test
Fill the test vial with 10 ml of water.
Fill the 1ml syringe with 1ml of Alkalinity Reagent.
Add the first 0.4 ml of Reagent (equivalent to an alkalinity of 2.0 meq/L – 5.6 dKH) by pressing the end of the syringe while gently swirling the vial.
Continue adding the reagent gradually, swirling the vial after each addition and paying attention to the color in the vial. As the color in the vial approaches the end color as shown on the instruction card, add one drop at a time, swirling after each drop, until the end color is achieved.
In this situation, read the number on the syringe and subtract this number from one (the amount of reagent used).
